What Is Turnella?

Turnella is a workforce planning and capacity planning tool for operations teams. It helps managers answer three questions that matter every week: How many people do I need? When do I need them? What will it cost?

Who It Is For

Turnella is designed for the operations manager, the contact centre team lead, and the resource planning analyst who needs a robust staffing plan — fast, without a consultant or a dedicated WFM team.

Traditional enterprise WFM software assumes you have an implementation budget of tens of thousands of pounds and months to configure it. Turnella assumes none of that. It is designed for:

What Turnella Does

Turnella walks you through a five-step planning process:

1. Import your data — bring in historical call, chat, or email volume. Or generate synthetic demo data to start immediately.
2. Generate a forecast — the tool produces a demand prediction per half-hour interval, week by week.
3. Calculate requirements — using your forecast and staffing assumptions, Turnella calculates how many agents you need per interval to meet your service level target. The formula depends on your channel: Erlang C for voice, a concurrency model for live chat, a throughput model for email and back-office work.
4. Build a schedule — define shift templates and assign headcount to see instantly whether your plan covers the requirements.
5. Model the cost — calculate the weekly labour cost of your schedule, including employer costs, shift premiums, and cost per contact.

Each step feeds into the next. Change your forecast and the requirements recalculate. Adjust your staffing assumptions and see the schedule impact immediately.

How Data Is Stored

Turnella stores your data in your account in the cloud. Data syncs across devices when you are signed in. Each account's data is stored in an isolated partition — only you can access your workstreams.

Turnella does not use your planning data to train AI models. The AI narrative features (when configured) send only your aggregated metrics to generate a summary — no raw contact data leaves your account.
