Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 June 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Turnella website, web application, calculators, and documentation (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Ownership
Turnella is owned and operated by Gonçalo Gomes (“Turnella”, “we”, “us”, “our”). All rights in and to the Service — including the website, web application, user interface, source code, algorithms, documentation, calculators, knowledge content, brand name, logo, and other materials — are and remain the exclusive property of Turnella.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest or intellectual property rights in the Service.
2. Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, Turnella grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own legitimate business planning purposes or to evaluate Turnella as a prospective user.
You may:
- Create an account and use the planning tools for your own operational planning
- Access and read the documentation and use the free calculators
- Export your own data using the export features provided
3. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Copy, scrape, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service or its content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer access to the Service to third parties
- Use the Service or its content (including calculators, documentation, or UI design) to build a competing or substantially similar product or service
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to collect data from the Service at scale
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Share account credentials or allow others to use your account
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access areas of the Service you are not authorised to access
4. Informational Purposes Only
The Service — including all calculators, documentation, benchmarks, templates, worked examples, and content — is provided for informational and planning purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice.
Turnella does not provide legal, HR, employment law, financial, compliance, medical, or other professional advice. Nothing in the Service should be relied upon as such. Always consult qualified professionals for decisions affecting your organisation.
In particular, the staffing models (Erlang C, concurrency, backlog models) and all output figures are estimates based on the assumptions and data you provide. They are tools to support decision-making, not guarantees of operational outcomes.
5. Beta and Evolving Product
Turnella is currently in beta. Features, calculations, interfaces, and availability may change at any time without notice. We aim to give reasonable advance notice of material changes where possible, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that any specific feature will remain available.
6. Your Data
Planning data, historical records, configurations, and other content you enter into Turnella remains your data. You retain all rights to it.
By using the Service, you grant Turnella a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Turnella does not claim ownership of your data and does not use it for purposes other than those described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that any data you enter does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
7. Third-Party Services
Turnella uses third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, AI features, and other infrastructure. These include Supabase, Vercel, and Anthropic (for optional AI features). Use of the Service is subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of these third parties.
Turnella is not responsible for the performance, availability, or conduct of third-party services.
8. Availability and Warranties
Turnella is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, free from errors or interruptions, or that any specific feature will continue to function as expected.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Turnella shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of revenue, data, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — even if Turnella has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
